Over the past few months Train Groups and Charters have organised a couple of charter trains which have been run as part of a client's birthday celebrations. Both have involved the use of trains offering the full dining experience and have been enthusiastically embraced by the recipients. Perhaps we are experiencing a shift in the charter train market here, as wealthy individuals are buying in to the charter train market as part of their birthday celebrations for their nearest and dearest? What has also been of interest is that these charter trains have been but one element of the birthday surprises, with onward accommodation, meals and parties following on from their respective train experiences.
